Aegidius Romanus (Giles of Rome)


Biography

 


  • came from Rome, member of the Colonna family.
  • studied under Thomas Aquinas.
  • was teacher of King Philipp IV.
  • was Augustinian-Hermit and General of the Order (1292).
  • 1295: Archbishop of Bourges.
  • 1315: Death in Paris.
