Johannes Monachus (Lemoine) 



Biography



  • came from a village in the Picardy (Diocese Amiens).
  • studied in Paris, where he was Canon.
  • After his doctorate he went to Rome, was advisor of Philipp II.
  • 30th September 1294: Cardinal Presbyter of S.Marcellini et Petri by Coelestin V.
  • 24th December 1302: Legate in France under Boniface VIII.
  • Bishop of Meaux as well as Cancellarius S.R.E. and Legate.
  • 22th August 1313 death (burried at the Le collège du cardinal Le Moine, that he has founded)
