Johannes de Anania

 

Biography

 

  • born in Agnani.
  • studied civil law at Florianus de S.Petro and canon law at Petrus de Ancharano.
  • 1422: Licentiate and Doctorate.
  • taught in Bologna.
  • soon gave up teaching to dedicate himself to advocacy and administration.
  • was married to the daughter of Alexander Tratagnus.
  • got ordained after the death of his wife.
  • 1443: Canon
  • 1448: Archdeacon
  • 17th February 1457: Death.
  • Was teacher of Pope Paul II, Andreas de Barbatia and Alexander Tartagnus.
