Richardus Anglicus


Biography

 

  • Born 1162.
  • Not to be confused with Richard the Poor, Bischop of Salisbury and Durham.
  • Not to be confused with Richardus Anglicus, the physician.
  • Studied and taught at Bologna (end of the 12th century), probably Archdeacon and rector of the law school in Bologna.
  • 1202-1242: Prior at Dunstable.
  • Death: 09. April 1242.



Activities as Canonist


  • After 1201: Ordo judiciarius.
  • After 1208/1210: Distinctiones super Decretis (dependent from the Summa of Sicardus).
  • Glossae super Compilatio prima.
  • Probably before 1189, surely before 1213: Casus Decretalium.
